Guidance on Interpretation of Installation

This is a guidance on the interpretation of installation and operator for the purpose of the IPPC directive. The definition of installation has not changed in the Industrial emission directive (IED). The guidance suggest an approach to some questions on how certain provisions of the Directive should be understood. The guidance does not represent an official position of the Commission and cannot be invoked as such in the context of legal proceedings.
